Sunnywood School of Adventure:

Young explorers are invited to step into the wild and join the Sunnywood School of Adventure: a series of thrilling, jam-packed adventure days full of exploration, discovery, laughter, and unforgettable outdoor fun.

Each adventure day begins at the Sunnywood Hub, where our adventurers climb aboard the Sunnywood minibus and head off into the great outdoors.

Each day, we'll explore stunning green spaces across Bury - ancient woodlands, open meadows and wild moorland

We'll keep things relaxed along the way, with plenty of breaks, time to explore, space to chat, laugh and play silly games along the way.

There’s no rushing: just space to roam, wonder, and enjoy the adventure however we typically cover a distance of around 3 miles.

We’ll then pause at a stunning scenic spot to enjoy our picnic lunch, relax, and soak up the views like true explorers.

Back at the Sunnywood Hub, the adventure continues!

Children will create their own nature-inspired craft using natural materials – a special keepsake to take home and remember the day.

And then, we’ll end the day gathered around a campfire, toasting marshmallows, sharing stories, solving riddles, and winding down together as adventurers do.

It’s the perfect end to an epic day outdoors.
