Rochdale Science Initiative will provide a safe, welcoming, and inclusive space where everyone can join in, feel confident, and have a brilliant time, including:

• Calm structure, clear expectations: Friendly routines and guidance so children of all abilities can settle in quickly and take part fully.
• Icebreakers and team games: Quick, fun starters to learn names, make friends, and build that “we’re in this together” vibe.
• Active play and sport: Inclusive games and movement sessions that suit all fitness levels and keep the energy high.
• Healthy hot meals and mini food fun: Nutritious meals each day, plus bite-sized chats about balanced eating, portion sizes, and trying new fruit and veg.
• Recycle and upcycle challenges: Hands-on activities, crafty makes, and simple swaps children can take home to reduce waste.
• STEM challenges and wow-factor experiments: Build, test, tinker, and solve problems with age-appropriate projects like simple machines, coding mini-challenges, and physics and engineering tasks.
• Holiday crafts and creativity: Seasonal makes that blend science and art, powered by imagination and a bit of messy fun.

It’s going to be four hours of curiosity, collaboration, and proper fun.
