We have hired a cinema screen at Odeon to have a relaxed viewing of the Christmas Movie ELF with kids treats provided. With less people in the screen and reduced volume and low lighting, this is suitable for those with Autism and other disabilities. We have private hire of the cinema and can therefore control the amount of people in the screen to ensure it isn’t as busy as other screenings. As well as this, the noise level will be reduced and there will be low level lighting to be more appropriate to those with sensory processing difficulties. There will be no adverts, just straight into the trailers and then the film to reduce the amount of time the young people need to be at in their seats, allowing those with limited attention spans to come and enjoy the film. Kids staff will be on hand to help during he film if there are any issues or if you just need an extra pair of hands. Takeaway food boxes will be given out as you leave. Parent/Carers must remain with their child/young person at all times.
