A range of activities will be available to support the needs of all children, aged 5-16 years. The activities are free flowing and children are able to take part in activities they desire. There will be a qualified Sports coach, who will deliver physical activities each session over the course of the Centre days. These will include: football, basketball, dodgeball, tennis, obstacle courses, daily mile, rounders. The coach will also provide stretches, cool downs and warm ups to ensure the body is reaching the physical needs and reduce likelihood of injury. Children will also learn about the importance of stretching and different muscles in the body. The eat well plate will be displayed throughout the HAF activities, promoting healthy eating as well as the importance of physical activity. Young people will also have opportunities to be involved in the daily mile where they will be led by an adult to run, jog or walk a mile. We will also provide a structured activity each session where children will be led by an adult; this could be cooking, crafts, smoothie making and MORE!!. Other optional activities that will be available for children are: Arts and crafts, soft play area, outdoor play area, board games, role play areas, puzzles Wii sports games, library access, smoothie making cooking activities pizza making Daily mile activities. There will also be Christmas activities taking place over the winter activities and an opportunity to meet Santa!!!
