Spring HAF Film Club – Filmmaking Fun for SEN Children
Get ready for a creative two-day spring adventure at our Film Club!
This programme is designed especially for SEN children and gives participants the chance to make their very own short film inspired by one of five imaginative themes: The Mystery, The Portal, The News Report, The Challenge, and The World Has Changed.
Bonus on day 1, 30th March, The London School of magic will be delivering a 1 hour session teaching easy to do magic tricks to all children.
On Day 1, children will work on scriptwriting, creating characters, and making props to bring their stories to life. Day 2 is all about filming, putting planning, teamwork, and creativity into action using professional equipment.
Sessions are hands-on, inclusive, and supportive, helping children build confidence, teamwork, problem-solving, and self-expression, with quiet crafts and games available for those who need a calmer space.
Healthy hot meals and snacks are provided each day, and families will receive helpful information about local support services.
We strongly recommend attending both days for the full experience, (please be mindful they will only appear in the film if they attend on day 2, however they can still be part of the film creation by attending day 1 only) and every child will receive a downloadable copy of the film they helped create to enjoy at home.
