Our Easter school holiday programme provides children with a fun, engaging and creative environment where they can take part in a range of practical activities while staying active and social during the school holidays.
All activities will take place at Kingsway High School in the Design Technology room and Food Technology rooms. These spaces are fully equipped with specialist equipment and work areas, making them ideal for creative and practical sessions and helping ensure every activity is safe, engaging and enjoyable for the children.
Children will take part in creative arts and crafts sessions where they will learn cyanotype printing on fabric, using sunlight to create unique patterns and designs. They will also explore picture transfer techniques onto wood, allowing them to place images onto wooden surfaces to produce personalised pieces of art. In addition, children will have the opportunity to work with wood to create simple craft items which they can decorate and take home.
The programme will also include canvas painting sessions where children can express themselves through colour and creativity while building confidence in their artistic skills.
Alongside the creative activities, children will participate in a one hour multi-sports session which will include football and other team games. These sessions help promote physical activity, teamwork and positive social interaction.
During the programme children will also be provided with a delicious healthy hot meal and refreshments to ensure they remain energised and supported throughout the day.
Overall the programme aims to provide a balanced holiday experience that combines creativity, practical skills, physical activity and healthy nutrition in a safe and welcoming environment.
